The Peavine Mountain Property (“Peavine” or the “Property”) is located in Josephine County, approximately 4 km west of the town of Galice, 3 km west of the Rogue River and less than 45 km south-southwest of the former Riddle Mine (the largest ever nickel mine in the United States). Access to the property is from Highway 5 west to the town of Merlin via Merlin Rd, then west on Galice Rd to Galice and then onto the property via local roads and trails (see Figure 1).

Mineralization occurs as a single and continuous nickel laterite lens having dimensions 1.9 km by up to 930 m (Figure 2) with laterite visible at surface beyond this outline. Sampling was confined to the southeast portion of the laterite. The sampling results are summarized in Table 1.

Although the nickel grades uncovered at Peavine Mountain were low grade (relative to other areas), increased nickel grades may be indicated at depth and further exploration at Peavine was considered justified. Most of the mapped laterite lens remains unsampled. The Property is considered prospective by Homeland because the laterite lens is large and remains under-explored.
